The company

The history of Balzer Kabel goes back to a factory for the production of ignition cables which was founded in 1864. Under different names and property forms the company has developed to a today modern producer of cables and wires. Balzer Kabelwerk Meissen can call itself one of the oldest continuously cable producers in Germany.
From 1990 to 1995 the company belonged to Siemens corporate group. In the middle of 1995 Wilhelm Balzer GmbH assumed ownership of Kabelwerk Meissen. The manager Wilhelm Balzer has over 35 years of experience in the cable and wire business.
A team of committed, experienced colleagues with creative ideas, and technical competence has been a very much sought after partner in  the industry regarding the solution of a wide range of problems relating to cables and wires for many years.
Our extensive technical-machine equipment is situated in two production halls with about 20.000 m² and is able to produce everything under one umbrella.

A strong partner

Balzer Kabel produces special wires, stranded conductors (up to 1000 tons per month) and insulation and sheathing materials (PVC, 6000 tons annual capacity).
The continuous supervision of all process steps, demanding in-house quality guidelines and the consistent implementation of QM guidelines according to ISO 9001:2000 guarantees a constant high quality of the cable and wire products.
The systematic use of resources of universities, scientific facilities and the long-time cooperation with suppliers is a natural daily routine during the development of new products.
As a medium-sized company Balzer Kabelwerk Meissen is flexible enough to realize individual wishes of our clients however it also possesses the necessary resources for demanding large orders.

With a broad spectrum

As a producer we have various possibilities for repeatable colouring (RAL) of insulation and sheating materials, for the product marking (printing, stamping) and the delivery design. The know-how of our design engineers, developers and sales engineers offers the capability to realize individual technical demanding customer requirements. Every year Balzer Kabelwerk Meissen develops and produces about 700 new, customized products.
The product range varies from filigree single cores and electronic conductors, cables for increased bending and torsion conditions for electrical drives and robots to material-intensive shielded and unshielded control cables with big conductor cross sections.
The machinery makes it possible to work with classical cable materials as well as with heavy-duty materials for certain applications.
